The RAM-B-174-UN3 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Base Mount consists of the 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Universal Large Side Clamping Cradle.

Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-HOL-UN3 Large RAM Plastic Side Clamping Cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of cell phones and electronic devices, including the Blackberry range of Phones

Using the Cradle:

This cradle has padded locking side clamps that close tightly on the item you want to hold. To release the clamp hold, simply press the button found at the bottom of the back of the cradle which will spring the clamps open. At the base of the cradle are two small support legs that move along the base edge of the cradle. The legs support the bottom of the item securely in the cradle, while allowing cable connection to the unit.

Important Cradle Use:

The RAM side clamping cradle is designed to be used in a closed cabin environment. The side clamping cradle is only a light weight cradle and may not hold your device in a high vibration situations as found on a motorcycle.

  • Side Clamp Depth: 0.93''
  • Cradle Spine Height: 3.92''
  • Cradle Spine Width: 2.25''
NOTE: The top of the cradle is open, so the items in the cradle can be larger than the height of the cradle.

Mount Arm Design:
The RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm (RAM-B-201) is a B Size 1 inch Ball Dual Socket Arm, made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 3 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends.

Mount Base Design:
The RAM-B-309-1 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Clutch/Brake Motorcycle Mount Base includes a 1 inch diameter Rubber Ball and a hexagonal openning for the connection of an optional secondary RAM-B-309-3 Rubber 1 inch diameter ball. Included with this base is both standard and metric mounting bolts.

The base connects to the left or right side of your handlebar clutch/brake reservoir on the Honda Goldwing and other select Motorcycles. To see if this base will work with your motorcycle, check the hole spacing of the base against your clutch/brake reservoir. The holes centers have a minimum width of 0.94 inches and a maximum of 1.58 inches and can be viewed in the design drawing below.
