UNIVERSAL MEDIUM CRADLE LOCKING SUCTION CUP MOUNT PRODUCT DETAILS

The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with 3.25'' Locking Suction Base consists of the 1'' dia. ball and socket system with RAM Universal Medium Side Clamping Plastic Cradle.

BASE DESIGN:
The RAM-B-224-1 RAM Mount Plastic Locking 3.25 inch diameter Rubber Suction Cup Base, with Marine Grade Aluminum Diamond Plate, is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth non-porous surface. With a twist on the locking knob, the suction cup base adheres to any glass¹ or non-porous plastic surface, as found on our Non Skid Base with Plastic Disk and Plastic Adhesive Disk.

Connected to the top of the Suction Cup is a RAM-B-238 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Diamond Plate with 1 inch diameter Rubber Ball. This plate allows the suction cup to join to an open socket found on the RAM 1 inch diameter socket arms.

Suction Cup Base Mounting Options:

We currectly offer three alternative solutions for mounting your suction cup mount in a location other than a windshield:

The Super Grip Non Skid Base with round plastic plate, is a weighted base that can be placed on your dash without an adhesive or drilling. Simply place the base on your dash, or any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the round plastic plate. This is perfect when you want a temporary mounting solution but the windshield mount just isn't the answer.
The Suction Cup Adhesive Disk with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply stick the the plate to any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the plate. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount to your car dash vertically or horizontally, rather than to your windshield.
The Suction Cup Drink Cup Holder with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply place the base into any cup holder in your vehicle and then attach the suction cup to the plate found on top. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount away from the windshield or when you just want the mount off the dash.

ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0'' long when measured between socket centers.

CRADLE DESIGN:
The RAM-HOL-UN2 Medium RAM Plastic Side Clamping Cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of cell phones and electronic devices.

Using the Cradle:

This cradle has padded locking side clamps that close tightly on the item you want to hold. To release the clamp hold, simply press the button found at the bottom of the back of the cradle which will spring the clamps open. At the base of the cradle is a small support to hold the bottom of the item securely in the cradle.

Important Cradle Use:

The RAM side clamping cradle is designed to be used in a closed cabin environment. The side clamping cradle is only a light weight cradle and may not hold your device in a high vibration situations as found on a motorcycle.

Joe's Review: Rating: Date: 2008-03-11 Solid modular design and well engineered. Very well made and ridgid stability. I bought the universal cradle to hold my Garmin GPSmaps 76CSx handheld with a Foarm(R) protective case. I didn't want to have to remove the case everytime I wanted to mount it in the vehicle if I would have bought the specific cradle for this unit. This kit does the job perfectly. The cradle has a ratcheting clamp with foam rubber grips that compress onto the unit firmly. Double-jointed support allows for a wide arrange of mounting angles. Spring loaded release allows for a quick removal of the GPS unit....and it's Made in USA!
Berni's Review: Rating: Date: 2008-12-02 I have an iPhone which is in a case and was looking for an in-car mount, the medium Universal worked for me however I did end getting a slightly longer arm for the vehicle application I have, looking to get an arm with the additional 1 inch ball to mount my GPS also. Great product excellent quality.
