The Large RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Side Clamping Cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of electronic devices. The cradle is designed to work with the RAM 1.0'' diameter ball and socket system.

USING THE CRADLE:
This cradle has padded locking side clamps that close tightly on the item you want to hold. To release the clamp hold, simply press the button found at the bottom left side of the cradle which will spring the clamps open. At the base of the cradle is a small support to hold the bottom of the item securely in the cradle.

CRADLE DIMENSIONS:
  MINIMUM WIDTH:  1.5'' (with foam), 2.43'' (without foam)
  MAXIMUM WIDTH:  3.5'' (with foam), 4.5'' (without foam)
  CLAMP HEIGHT:  2.62''
  CLAMP DEPTH:  1.38''
  CRADLE HEIGHT: 6.5''
  NOTE: The top of the cradle is open, so the items in the cradle can be larger than the height of the cradle.

If you require a different sized side clamping cradle there are two other options available.
  • Small Plastic Side Clamping Cradle (RAM-HOL-UN1)
  • Medium Plastic Side Clamping Cradle (RAM-HOL-UN2)

INCLUDED WITH THE CRADLE:
The cradle has a 1.0'' diameter Rubber RAM ball connected to the bottom of the back of the cradle. The rubber ball connects directly to any RAM 1.0'' diameter socket.

ALUMINUM CRADLE ATLERNATIVES:
If you need to mount this cradle on a 1.5'' ball system, you will require the Large Aluminum Side Clamping Cradle with 1.5'' dia. Ball (RAM-120B). The dimensions of this cradle are the same as shown above.

 		 WHAT A CLAMP!

Used this to hold my Police Scanner. Works like a champ! Just completed a trip to the Yukon on the Harley. Clamped a SPOT Satellite Tracker into the mount. Worked fine on a bumpy gravel road over 200 miles long.

 		 EXCELLENT SERVICE ON POLICE MOTORCYCLE

I have used this mount on a Kawasaki Police 1000 motorcycle for nearly two years to hold a Radio Shack Pro96 Scanner. The quick release is an especially well designed system. The mount has held the scanner securely while pressed closed and releases easily for removal of the scanner radio. Due to the double rubber 1" balls, the system has protected the scanner from much of the vibration produced by the motorcycle. The system continues to function well and I am ordering another one to replace a less convenient mount in my personal vehicle.
